Trustees

We have a number of Trustee vacancies we wish to fill, to complement our existing Board and guide our successful and growing organisation into the next phase of development. We therefore seek:

  • Someone with lived experience of any of the programmes being run who is happy to guide and support us
  • Someone with General Trustees experience to expand the knowledge base and help strengthen the Board overall

Restorative Justice School facilitators
Within the charity, the Restorative Justice programme provides a restorative justice process for victims and offenders at all stages of the criminal justice process. Restorative Justice (RJ) is a carefully managed, risk-assessed process, where communication, can be opened up between someone who has been harmed, and the person or people who have harmed them, this sometimes, but not always, involves a face-to-face meeting.

The role of an RJ Facilitator in School is to explore the RJ process with all parties, prepare for the RJ intervention, which could include an RJ face-to-face meeting, a letter of apology, or another indirect restorative process, and follow up with all participants. This work will only be required during school hours during the school terms.

This is a sessional job role as and when the referrals come in and we pay £25.00 per hour including travel time with all travel expenses reimbursed.

Role responsibilities:

The role of an RJ School Facilitator includes: –

  • Engaging prospective participants in the purpose and process of RJ;
  • Assessing a victim and harmer’s suitability for the process of RJ;
  • Preparing all participants for a RJ conference or other restorative intervention;
  • Recording of information shared;
  • Working alongside a Senior Practitioner to ensure the quality of RJ provided is to a high standard;
  • Committing to attending regular and ongoing training and support sessions;
  • Ensuring fairness, impartiality and equality of access to RJ processes.

  • 30 hrs (0.8 FTE) per week
  • Salary £23,500 (FTE) per annum

Join our team as a Service Delivery assistant, playing a pivotal role in the implementation and success of the Sexual Violence Service across the Thames Valley region. Under the guidance of the Service Manager, you will shoulder the responsibility and accountability for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of Sexual Violence Services.
