Real Lives Changed

We can explain what we do and how we do it – but how to convey the real impact of our work and what it means to the lives of those we support? Well, that’s the hard bit!

Ambassadors give their time, energy and support to help us make a proper difference for those who we support – they are often, but not always, people who we have supported through a difficult time, who just want to tell their story or give back in order to help others find a way forward. Sometimes they can help raise awareness of our services by attending events to talk about our work and share their own experience.

This is a really important role as it helps us to reach new people, explain the impact of our work in practical terms and sometimes it inspires new fundraising activity, vital to keeping our services going  – ultimately it also lets others who are going through a dark time know that there is someone like us out there to help them through.
