Victims First Specialist Services Roles:  Our VFSS team offer support to victims of serious crime such as sexual violence, modern day slavery and exploitation.   The programme works closely with the Victims First Hub (operated by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley) as this is the main route for victim referrals into the VFSS service. We are currently looking for 3 new members of staff to complete our team:

 

VFSS – Referral Coordinator, Salary £21,932 per annum, Full Time, 37.5 hours a week

This is an administrative based role which has a key co-ordination, first response referral function for the VFSS Programme.  It is based in the Haddenham, Bucks HQ. This role is also responsible for overseeing and monitoring the case management system, including the regular production of performance reports relating to the service performance indicators.  The lynchpin of the team, this role will ensure the efficient working and throughput of cases to ensure Victims receive an effective and timely service.

Our VFSS Caseworkers  provide  a front line delivery service offering prevention, intervention and crisis support to anyone who is/has experienced or is deemed to be at risk of any form of harm (i.e. sexual, modern slavery, criminal, financial) and to identify and engage with these individuals on a one-to-one basis, enabling them to access services and make positive, empowering choices to change their lives.  This is an extremely important and rewarding role where you will be working directly with victims or other vulnerable people including providing emotional and practical support and making a vital difference in their lives.

The Administrative Assistant  helps to manage the volunteers for the Victim First Support Services enabling  volunteers to be recruited in a more coordinated way, and training and allocation to specific types of roles to be better managed – giving the volunteers better opportunities to develop and grow within the Partnership, and if desired to be involved in more than one programme.   This is a key role acting  as the central interface between the volunteers and the various programme managers and core staff team.   The role is based at the Partnership’s office in Aston Sandford, Buckinghamshire HP17 8JB.

 JD – Maternity Cover Gloucestershire Mentoring Programme Coordinator and Mentor Supervisor

Gloucestershire Mentoring Programme (GMP) is a new early intervention support service for vulnerable girls and young women in Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire – specifically, 11-25 year olds considered at risk of being linked to criminal activity.  TVP is one of the seven trusted mentoring organisations collaborating to deliver this service, which offers such young people the chance to form a long-lasting relationship with a trained volunteer mentor.  Having a relationship with a trusted independent adult can be life changing, helping them to build resilience and grow in confidence, and empowering them to have a more positive future.  For more information visit gloucestershirementoringprogramme.co.uk.

The role reports into our Programme Manager – you will be required to collaborate with the six other GMP providers to deliver TVP’s planned contribution to GMP.  This will involve promoting GMP, securing referrals for our GMP service, and recruiting and training volunteer mentors to provide this service.  And within TVP, you will oversee activities to deliver our GMP service, reporting to the external evaluator on a regular basis.
