Have you, or someone you support, experienced violence or abuse from a partner or family member, or rape or sexual assault from anyone? Would you be willing to share experiences to help improve police and criminal justice responses for survivors?
Lis Bates and The Research Team at The Open University are currently looking at domestic abuse and sexual violence survivors’ engagement with the criminal justice system. They want to hear from women and men over 18 who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse and/or sexual violence since 2019 and have interacted with the police about these experiences. They are ideally looking for up to 50 survivors to take part in voluntary, confidential, one-to-one interviews with a member of the research team – all the researchers are experts in researching domestic abuse and sexual violence with considerable experience of speaking to survivors with confidentiality and sensitivity.
